Prepare to be wowed!

Champagne Marion-Bosser Premier Millesime 2008 is due to arrive in the next week.  This is a truly a spectacular champagne!  Don’t just take my word for it, see what Ian Ganble, Master Sommelier has to say.

Having visited the tightly knit Marion-Bosser family during my recent travels, I can confidently say I’m both a subscriber to their classic ‘Burgundian’ philosophies and an avid supporter of their delicious micro-production wines. Marion-Bosser’s 2008 is a resounding achievement that can rival almost any Champagne you want to throw at it—they have the terroir, traditional style, and forbearance needed to craft a world-class vintage Champagne (something they manage to release at a ridiculously affordable price).  Read on…https://www.sommselect.com/?product=marion-bosser-premier-cru-millesime-2008

Cuisine Awards 2018

Jean Josselin Champagnes awarded again!

Cuvee Des Jean was awarded 4.5 stars best buy at $45.

Blanc de Blancs Millesime 2013 awarded 4 stars.

It’s fantastic to have the recognition as they are deserving.  The Cuvee des Jean for the second year in a row.  Both of these champagnes are fabulous and delicious drinking. Cheers!

Corks Away!

Looks like someone has had a whole lot of fun here!  Something about corks, the colour, the smooth texture and the fragrance of the champagne.  I know people always become animated when they hear that certain “pop” that only a champagne bottle can make.  I think it makes people happy and excited.  If we were strict purists we wouldn’t really want that “pop” but I think sometimes it sets the mood and besides it’s fun.  Nothing beats firing a cork from a bottle off the balcony grand prix style!

Champagne Monmarthe Coup de Coeur wins Gold

Earlier this year this Premier Cru NV champagne won Gold at the Sakura Woman’s Wine Awards in Japan.  Congratulations Monmarthe!

This is certainly well deserved as this is a superbly sophisticated champagne oozing with style.  Ok, if you haven’t guessed it, I confess to this being one of my favorites.  It’s dry and delicious!

Congratulations Rohan & Matt

Congratulations to Rohan and Matt who were recently married.  On their special day they served Champagne Secret de Famille and this is what they have to say about Three French Vines.

We’re really glad to have enjoyed some Grower Champagne at our wedding earlier this year – we had a great experience dealing with Marie and Three French Vines and the Champagne Monmarthe went down deliciously!  Marie was helpful and friendly and it was obvious she shares our love of bubbles!  We knew we would enjoy each style in their range, but Marie made it easy to narrow down our selection, giving pointers on the grape blends and taste profiles as well as some interesting points on the growers and locations of each house.  When we mentioned a particular champagne we had loved she looked into it and suggested one with a similar blend – which was the one we settled on for our big day!  Delivery was quick and hassle free also. We’re pleased to have a few bottles left over…although we wouldn’t hesitate to try more from Three French Vines!”

Champagne Marion-Bosser

We are thrilled to introduce Champagne Marion-Bosser to you.  This Mother and Daughter champagne house produce award winning champagnes. Situated in Hautvillers which is renown for growing Premier Cru and also with the father of champagne, Dom Perignon, who resided at the Hautvillers Abbey.
Kathy and Trevor, champagne connisseurs from Mt Eden, recommended that we stock Marion-Bosser and they were so right. Thanks to Kathy and Trevor we are able to bring you this champagne. It’s a standout recommendation!
I am not exaggerating when I say these champagnes are exceptional and  really worthwhile trying.  The  Extra Brut Blanc de Blanc is top-notch luxury! In 2015 this won the Chairman’s Trophy of “The Ultimate Wine Challenge” in New York and British Airways serve it in First Class.
The gorgeous Brut Tradition is my favorite.  Tradition is the perfect name for the classic marriage of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  It’s full, harmonious and  just delicious.
Obviously one bottle is not going to cut it with these two.  Whether it’s Brut or Extra Brut I guarantee that you will be wowed with these two beauties!
